Connected to VPN but no internet – Avast

Avast Antivirus often blocks VPN connections. If you have Avast and you get to connect to the VPN, but you no longer have internet access the best solution is to uninstall Avast with Avast clear > https://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility and replace it with another less problematic antivirus for example Bitdefender or Sophos.
However, before uninstalling completely, to correct this problem you can try this procedure:

1) Open Avast – right click on the icon > Open Avast
2) Click on “Resident Protection” > “Web Agent”
3) Click on “Expert Settings” > “Exclusions”
4) At the bottom of the check page “Processes to exclude” > “Add” > “Browse” to select monvpn.exe
